Caring for Your Implants
As your body heals following surgery, the bone in your jaw will begin to fuse to your implant(s). Once this process, called osseointegration, has taken place, your implants will be fixed and immovable. They will have the appearance, function, and strength of natural teeth. Even better, they will never be at risk for decay and can be expected to last.
Following placement, periodic follow-up visits will be scheduled to monitor your implants, teeth, and gums. As with natural teeth, proper oral hygiene, good eating habits, and regular dental visits will help maintain the life of your new implants.
Dr. Sirakian will provide detailed after-care instructions to keep your new implants and gums in good condition.
